Wayne Stephen Byron

Mr. Wayne S. Byron, 70, of Bellingham MA died Saturday (August 24, 2024) at Vantage Health & Rehabilitation in Milford after a courageous battle with cancer.

Wayne was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Francis Byron and the late Mary (Garagliano) Byron. He attended the former St. Mary’s Grammar School and Milford High School.

Wayne had been employed for many years in the flooring industry, working as a carpet installer.

Wayne was an avid sportsfan, especially when it came to the Boston Red Sox & the NE Patriots. He also loved camping, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and listening to music. But his favorite past time was spending time with his beloved family members, especially with his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his longtime partner & companion: Linda L. Hopkin of Bellingham MA; his 2 children: Andrea L. Zagaglia & her husband Mark S. Zagaglia of Bellingham MA and Jonathan Calcagni & his wife Monica of Manchester NH; his 4 grandchildren: Kaya Nyte Mercure, Gemma Rae Mercure, Marky Steven Zagaglia & Hudson Wayne Zagaglia; also his 2 nephews: Patrick Mulligan & his companion Robin Gawron of Gorham ME and John Paul Mulligan & his companion Erika of Uxbridge MA.

Wayne was the father of the late Shannon Greuling and the brother of the late Marie Mulligan and the late Anthony Byron.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of his Life will be held SUNDAY  (September 29th) from 10:00AM to 12 NOON at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
