Adelina "Dell" Grillo

           Miss Adelina “Dell” Grillo, 98, of Milford MA died Wednesday (January 20, 2016) at her residence after a period of declining health.

            Miss Grillo was born in Milford the daughter of the late Natale and the late Annunziata (Alcarese) Grillo. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1934.

            Miss Grillo was first employed at the former Carroll’s Cut-Rite Store in Milford and then later as a secretary at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Womens Club. She was also a member of the United Sicilian Club of Milford.

            Miss Grillo is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Leonard A. Izzo Sr. and his wife Marcia; 2 Grand nephews: Leonard A. Izzo Jr. and his wife Entela & Michael Izzo; 1 Great Grandnephew: Domenic Izzo & 1 Great Grandniece: Alexandra Izzo, all of Milford MA.

            Miss Grillo was the sister of the late Salvatore Grillo, Anna Nash, Thomas Grillo, Jennie DeLuca, Mary Savelli, John Grillo, Lillian Izzo and Guiseppa Grillo.

            Her funeral will be held Saturday (January 23rd) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in the Lower Chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. A visiting hour will be held Saturday (January 23rd) from 8:30am to 9:30am, prior to her Funeral Mass.
