Mr. Antonio P. Rodrigues, 51, of Milford MA, died Sunday (January 31, 2016) at UMASS-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester MA after an illness.
Mr. Rodrigues was born in Beca Portugal, the son of the late Jose and the late Ana (DeJesus Paolo) Rodrigues. He attended schools in Portugal as a young boy and came to the United States as a young man.
Mr. Rodrigues was first employed as a mason contractor for S&F Concrete and later Consigli Construction Company. He later owned & operated his own masonry business.
Mr. Rodrigues was a longtime member of the Portuguese Club of Milford and an avid fan of the BENFICA soccer team. He also loved gardening and growing his tomatoes, vegetables & fruit trees. He also loved going to the beach and loved to tell jokes.
Mr. Rodrigues is survived by 2 Sons: Steven P. Rodrigues & Bryan E. Rodrigues, both of Milford MA; his fiancée: Ilona Ryder of Milford MA; 3 Siblings: Armand Rodrigues of Portugal, Maria Rodrigues of Portugal and Candida Almeida of France. Also several nieces, nephews & cousins.
A Private Graveside Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family in Vernon Grove Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday (February 3rd) from 5pm to 7pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
