Marie Louise (Del Castello) Elliott

October 30, 1930 ~ August 25, 2015 (age 84) 84 Years Old


            Mrs. Marie L. (Del Castello) Elliott, 84, beloved wife of Raymond H. Elliott of Peabody MA and formerly of Milford MA and Framingham MA died Tuesday evening (August 25, 2015) at Brooksby Village in Peabody MA surrounded by her loving family after a period of declining health.

 

            She was the daughter of the late George and Josephine (Zicolella) Del Castello of Milford MA, where both Marie and Raymond were born and attended public schools together and graduated in 1948. Marie also graduated from Worcester School of Business Science.

 

            The Elliotts were married in1951 while Raymond was in the US Navy and stationed in New London CT. They moved back to Milford MA in 1954 and then to Framingham MA, where they resided for forty-four years until moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody MA in 2004.

 

            In addition to her beloved husband, Marie is survived by her son, Steven Elliott and his wife Kathleen Sullivan Elliott of Boston MA; her daughter, Janet Elliott Buckley and her husband Thomas Buckley of Providence RI; her Grandchildren: Matthew and Allison Murata Elliott of Los Angeles CA, Kristin Elliott Egan and James Egan of London, England, Kelly Buckley Behbehani and Brian Behbehani of Medfield MA, Eric and Saira Khan Buckley of Boston MA, Sean Buckley and Jacquelyn Colarusso of Providence RI; her Great Grandchildren: Jackson and Colin Egan, Luke and Leila Behbehani, Emma and Eleanor Buckley; her Sisters-in-law: Gabriela Elliott of Northborough MA and Elinore Bishop of Hopedale MA.

 

            Raymond Elliott said that Marie was his wife, best friend, inspiration and partner for all of their adult lives. She was always at his side, wherever they went, and whatever they did. He also said that Marie was the motivation for whatever success he had in life.

 

            More importantly, Raymond said that Marie was a role model daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. He quoted a longtime business associate who said: “Marie brightened the lives and lightened the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Marie was a gem beyond price”. He was right !

 

            In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Wednesday (September 2nd) at 10AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Committal services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
