Mr. Thomas A. Perna, 78, of Canton MA, died Friday evening (October 6, 2017) at Tufts Medical Center in Boston MA after an illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (Glennon) Perna, who died in 2005.
Mr. Perna was born in Milford MA, the son of the late Thomas and the late Delfina (Volpicelli) Perna. He attended the former Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a graduate of Milford High School. He was also a graduate of the Wentworth Institute.
Mr. Perna was a self employed contractor working in the construction industry for many years. He was an avid fisherman and boater and also loved animals.
He is survived by his 2 Children: Thomas E. Perna of Canton MA and Tara M., wife of Ryan Fenner of Canton MA; 1 Grandson: Thomas J. Perna of Brockton MA; 2 Nephews: Edward Glennon and his wife Kelly of Auburn MA and Christopher Glennon and his wife Laurie of Bellingham MA.
His funeral will be held Wednesday (October 11th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday (October 10th) from 6pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
