Evangeline Agnes (Burke) Costantino

Mrs. Evangeline A. (Burke) Costantino, 90, of Milford MA, died early Wednesday morning (July 29, 2015) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Costantino, who died in 1959.

Mrs. Costantino was born in Worcester MA, the daughter of the late Myles and the late celia (Rizzi) Burke. She attended public schools in Worcester MA and was a graduate of Commerce High School, Class of 1943.

Mrs. Costantino was first employed as a bookkeeper at the former Woodbury Letterhead Company located in Worcester MA.  She later worked at the Telechron Corporation in Ashland MA and at the former Rubenstein Electric Company in Milford MA. Following that she was employed as a bookkeeper and dispatcher at the former Clark-Shaughnessy Oil Company and at the former Hopedale Coal & Ice Company.

Mrs. Costantino was a resident of Milford for most of her life and a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She was an avid bingo player and loved her casino trips and bus trips. She was also a member of the “Biddeford Babes Club”.

She is survived by her son: John A. Costantino Jr. of Bellingham MA; 1 Brother: Myles Burke and his wife Eleanor of Seattle WA; and many nieces & nephews.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (August 1st) at 9AM from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (July 31st) from 5pm to 7pm.
