Jessie L. DeSalvia

Miss Jessie J. DeSalvia, of Milford MA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday (November 18, 2015) . She was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Luigi and Rosa (Moschilli) DeSalvia. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1932 and Holy Cross Business Institute.

Jessie was a wonderful sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend. She was a gracious woman who enjoyed life, loved to travel, enjoyed outings for lunch and shopping. She worked as an office manager for Milford Auto Parts for many years.

Jessie was a past President of the Hoboken Citizen’s Club Auxiliary. She was a communicant at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member and past President of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club. She was also a CCD teacher, a Eucharistic Minister, and for many years a member of the Altar Guild.

She leaves her devoted niece: Jeanne-Marie (DeSalvia) and her husband Steven Rapillo of West Harrison NY and their children Kristin, Matthew, Victoria and Brian; her devoted nephew John DeSalvia Jr and her cousin Terri Moschilli, both of Milford MA.

She was pre-deceased by her sisters Malia, Mary, Helen, Mafalda and her brother John and his wife Mildred (Baruffaldi) DeSalvia. Jessie was lovingly cared for by her caregivers Debbie, Dolly, Diane and Solange.

Her funeral will be held Saturday (November 28th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (UPPER CHURCH), 7 East Main Street, Milford MA. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA. Visiting hours will be Friday (November 27th) from 4pm to 7pm.
