Patricia Anne (McGowan) Lang

Mrs. Patricia A. (McGowan) Lang, 83, of Milford MA, died Wednesday morning (June 29, 2016) at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilbur W. Lang, who died in 1981.

Mrs. Lang was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Margaret (Moore) McGowan. She was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1950. She was also a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee MA.

Mrs. Lang had been a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph religious order as a young  woman, serving as a teacher from 1953 to 1969 under the name of Sr. Michael Mary, S.S.J.. She later was employed in the Juvenile Probation Office of the Framingham District Court from 1969, until her retirement in 1983.

Mrs. Lang is survived by1 Niece: Ginny Peters and her husband Joey of Longwood FL; also her 1st Cousins: Rita O’Brien of Milford MA, Mary Nolan of Bellingham MA, and David Moore of Holliston MA; also many other cousins and devoted friends. Mrs. Lang was the sister of the late Michael McGowan.

Her funeral will be held Friday (July 1st) from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale Street, Hopedale MA. Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham MA. A visiting hour will be held Friday morning (July 1st) from 8:30am to 9:30am, prior to her Funeral Mass.
