How I remember and still remember my eldest sister at this time of the year. You became a mother way to young. You sacified your teens to help mother through her many years of illness. You gave up so much which many people and relatives cannot even fathom to even think about you. You became the mother to David, Don and myself at such a young age. Throughout all of our lives you actually had 5 children and Cindy and Lugene were our sisters. You always thought about your family before all else. Then you married and he realized that you were part of package which in gladlt took part and helped and love it. He loved our mother with all his heart and created a love hate relationship in which he became their eldest son. He loved her so much. Anyone you were protected of or that was in your family circle you protected so dearly and they all knew this. At this time of year I am always so sad as you always rescued our parents for the holiday. Even though they could not provide what was expected we knew at a young age that special food and gifts would never be on the day for us because their was no money for them. BUT my dear sister always made the holiday special when I entered my teens and had been that way throughout my life. The bond that the 7 of us had with our parents and with each other is once in alife time. You kept us all glued together. Even though some of the sibs were not always there we never forgot them. Even now with so many of them asleep waiting for the Lord we will all be together with each other again and with our own families. Your daughters grandchildren and great great are a wonferful loving group of people. and so you live on...I miss you so much. Just so know being the youngest in a sib line is not where I would have choosen for myself. I miss my family. I ask God to help guide me through. I love you.

Jean: Thank you for welcoming me at Whitten Corp as well as part of the Landmesser/Lewis/Whitten family. I will have lifelong memories of all of you with my years at Whitten and all the fun and work that came with it. Love this picture of you and how I'd like to remember you by. But maybe I'll best remember you with that song that use to play on your radio, Blue Eyes Crying In the Rain by Willie Nelson. Can't ever hear that song again without thinking of you! Love you ...

My heart is heavy, no one has touched my life quite like Mrs. Whitten. My mentor, how I admire, respect, love you. I learned so much from you, how to be hard working, professional, real, caring, honest, humble, and role model for young people. I often said I graduated from the Mrs. Whitten School of Business. Many times, I stop and think, what would JLW do, as I try to be the best I can be.

Dear family, know my thoughts are with you all, and hope your hearts are filled with peace.
Love, Chris Kelly

Lugene,
So sad to hear the news about your mom. What a lucky lady to have such a devoted daughter - you gave her the best care a mom could ask for. It will be a tough week ahead but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Cherish the great times you have had over the years and all the wonderful memories - your mom will always be with you! Be strong my friend...
